The South of Ireland Band Gathering & Contest, sponsored by the Irish Pipe Band Association, was held today in Cobh. The IPBA was founded to promote and encourage the culture and advancement of Piping and Drumming, and a bond and fellowship between all Pipers and Drummers. The bands marched down the Main Street from Kennedy Park and we watched from our flat's window. Very cool.
Wow, I just can't believe what a hotbed of excitement little old Cobh is all the time!
