Today we went to the Dingle Peninsula via Killarney, stopping at Inch Beach, Beehive Huts, Slea Head, and Clogherhead. Inch Beach is one of Ireland's best surfing beaches and is where Ryan's Daughter was filmed. Overlooking Dingle Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are the Beehive Huts, dating back thousands of years. They are unmortared circular walled huts shaped like beehives. Slea Head and Clogherhead offer wonderful views of the uninhabited Blasket Islands and the Atlantic Ocean. The film Far and Away was filmed in Clogherhead. Dingle is a fishing port and the most western town in Europe.
