Monday July 1
We arrived in Dublin yesterday afternoon and explored the city today. This is my last post from our 3 month adventure in Ireland. We return to the US tomorrow. I hope you have enjoyed reading the blog and thank you for taking the time to view it.
Until next time,

Cobh June 26

Wednesday June 26
The Old Church Cemetery has been used as a burial ground for over 300 years, with the earliest grave dated 1698. Dr. James Roche Verling, the physician to Napoleon, boxer Jack Doyle, and poet Charles Wolfe are buried there. The remains of 169 victims of the RMS Lusitania are interred there, mainly in 3 mass graves.

The Market House, built in 1806, was used as the temporary morgue for victims of the RMS Lusitania. It currently houses the Cobh Library and District Court.

Pictures I took walking from Cobh City Center to the Old Church Cemetery.
